Led by CEO Dasha Kichuk, and founded by her husband Ilya, effa is a one-day use toothbrush made of paper and eco friendly, recyclable materials, making effa 100% green. I first met Dasha at a tech conference and her global business savvy was apparent right away. After digging into their progress further while an Entrepreneur In Residence with Starta Ventures in NYC, I could see that Ilya’s design prowess would allow them to showcase the product in a beautiful way, expanding its appeal.

Their mission is to eliminate tons of plastic disposal into landfills by hotels, cruise lines, airlines, hospitals, and other contributors to single use plastics waste. Beginning with the toothbrush, effa will create a line of eco-friendly amenities to include toothpaste tablets, combs, swabs, soap and shampoo containers, and more.
