Fleeting

Fleeting founder Pierre Laguerre and I are both building startups in similarly “un-sexy” industries. We had run into each other at several startup events, and at one, we were both given the opportunity to share our elevator pitches with the audience. We connected after and realized how much we had in common -- that is, in our current businesses and how they’re focused on building up the working class -- but that’s where the similarities end.

Pierre has known hardship and overcome every hurdle, obstacle, or wall put in his way. After building several multi-million dollar companies in the transportation space, a horrific accident ripped it all away. To build back from nothing, no task was beneath him to gain opportunity and a foothold in the industry he knew better than almost anyone.

Now firmly on the other side of adversity, Pierre is putting his 15+ years of experience in the trucking industry to much better use than behind the wheel. Paired with an incredible team of technologists and startup pros who complement his knowledge, they’re setting out to build the best trucking platform that the industry has ever seen, with a driver-centric model built around the 3.5 million non-owner essential truck drivers on the road today.
