Neha Singh was far and away the standout performer on the Techstars stage when I saw her show the audience Obsess VR with a PC and a headset on Demo Day. She spoke of the advent of e-commerce and how Amazon’s 4x4 grid of books for sale hasn’t changed in 25 years.
During the networking hour afterward, we discussed her product and the potential for AR applications outside of the headset, namely on mobile. I asked her to add me to her investor updates, and when I learned of the pivot into AR focused development we set time to dig in further.
This is when I learned that Neha curated her own destiny - she always wanted to build something of her own at the intersection of fashion and technology. So what did she do? Spent 5 years at Google as a Sr. Software Engineer, transitioned into Product, and then became the Head of Product at Vogue/Conde Nast. If this doesn’t scream founder-market fit, I don’t know what does.
